Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: Making a Run for the Border in Windsor
I looked into renting a vehicle in Chicago, my final trip in the US, as I had to hire one.
I could fly Porter over. quite costly. I began researching one-way rentals from several US locations.
I could have travelled from Toronto, but spending $450 for a 200-mile journey was too much.
Via Rail sold me a C$64 early morning Windsor ticket. I entered the Marriott's main hall after walking two blocks from the station in the warm morning air.
A cheery and pleasant young girl at the Via Rail ticket office told me she receives same question every day and is angry that the bus hasn't returned.
The food court, above, was mainly deserted and badly lighted. I had a terrible Coney Dog gyro since Subway was closed.
